Aim to do that in order to release the astronauts that are stuck among those bubbles, as well as to clear the screen of all bubbles to finish a level.

For all the bubbles you eliminate you get points in return, so also try to get a big score in return. The better you perform at a level, the more stars you get, as you can get from one to three stars in return.
