Whether you are playing in the story mode or free play mode, to win you need to do the same thing, which is to play your notes according to the charts until the song ends.

So, when you see arrow symbols match above BF's head, press the identical arrow keys to hit your notes. Miss doing it too many times in a row and you lose, so be careful not to let it happen, but focus and win instead!
