The story on Disney Junior

Amaya, Greg, and Connor are normal children in the day, all three of them being best friends with one another. They go to school, learn about the world, play together, spend time with their families, and do other normal things. But, the normalcy goes away during the night, when they put their special pajamas on. These are not just regular pajamas, but ones that give the three kids superpowers, and with them, on the hide, their identity while fighting evil-doers.

Of course, their pajamas come complete with masks that hide their identities, just as their name suggests, and each of the three little heroes has their suit and powers inspired by animals. Amaya becomes Owlette, with the mask of an owl, Greg becomes Gekko, inspired by lizards, and Connor turns into Catboy, who is obviously a cat. Their colors are red, green, and blue, and their headquarters are hidden in a totem-shaped structure in the park.

The characters of PJ Masks

Connor, a.k.a Catboy wears a blue costume that resembles the look of a cat, complete with ears and a tail. His abilities include super-hearing, being able to perform incredible jumps, and being very fast. As far as his personality goes, he can be quite controlling, often assuming the role of leader, and he is very impulsive, usually thinking before acting. He has a special vehicle called Cat Car that he drives, and which can shoot hairballs at his enemies or obstacles.

Owlette, by her real name Amaya, is the only girl in the team, whose red costume and mask resemble an owl, and one of her main abilities is that she can see really far away, as well as the power to generate really powerful wind. She is the smartest member of the team, and despite being quite likable, as the other two kids, she can often be quite rude. The Owl-Glider is her vehicle, which she uses for flying, which is really great to have as a superhero, no doubt!

Finally, we have Gekko, known as Gordon in day-to-day life, the green hero with a suit just like a lizard, who also has amazing abilities, such as being able to turn invisible, and super strength, being able to lift really heavy things that even some adults could not lift. His Gekko-Mobile is very useful in many missions of the team since it has the ability to submerge underwater, which is sometimes needed to save the day from different villains.

Their main villain and antagonist go by the name of Romero, a scientist who can act quite childish, who comes up with all sorts of inventions to bring down the PJ Masks because he hates them for always foiling his evil plans. His inventions always put the team in trouble, but they eventually defeat them all.

Another main antagonist in the series is Luna Girl and the first female villain in the show. She is an alien currently living on her base on the Moon, and she uses her alien technology and knowledge to try to take over the Earth, but her plans are always stopped by the dedication of the three PJ Masks heroes.

One more villain is worth mentioning here, and we’re talking about the one and only Night Ninja. A ninja who usually sends his underlings, the Ninjalinos, into battle, but when he does battle, he usually uses attacks such as the Sticky Splat, with which he traps people, or he throws smoke bombs, which are quite useful ninja techniques!
